"Japanese design seems very approachable to Finns, and the Japanese understand and appreciate Finnish design, in turn. Hirameki Design x Finland showcases Finnish culture, society, everyday life and values through and in addition to design. At the same time, it gives a good impression of what cooperation with us is like.
"As guardian of this project, I am grateful to all those who made this possible. I believe that Hirameki Design x Finland opens a new communication channel between Japan and Finland, using the universal language of design and common cultural significances as means.
"Rays tend to beam back, and indeed I hope that the six different colored Hirameki theme rays reflect back even more brightly, creating new hues and opportunities for Fenno-Japanese collaboration."
